Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Overnight Stay

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel near Lake Victoria. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening and safari briefing to prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, we drive north to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park. The journey offers scenic countryside views and cultural interactions along the way. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early game drive, spotting giraffes, elephants, lions, buffalo, and antelopes. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, with opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. A guided walk to the top of the falls completes the day.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, we depart Murchison Falls and travel south to Kibale National Park, passing through scenic landscapes and tea plantations. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your lodge, and relax.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Trek with expert trackers to locate chimpanzee families and observe their complex behaviors and communication. Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure time.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast at the lodge and later, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check into your lodge.

Day 7: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Enjoy an early game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, followed by an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos and water birds.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, we travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, journeying through dramatic highlands and rural villages. Check into your lodge and attend a briefing about gorilla trekking.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is a highlight of the safari. After an early breakfast, trek into the forest for your mountain gorilla trekking experience. Once a gorilla family is located, spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation Day

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most scenic lakes. Enjoy a relaxed day with optional canoeing, village visits, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 11: Transfer to Rwanda – Volcanoes National Park

We depart Uganda and cross into Rwanda, continuing to Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy Rwanda’s rolling hills and volcanic scenery before checking into your lodge.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, head into Volcanoes National Park for your second gorilla trekking experience, offering a chance to compare gorilla habitats between Uganda and Rwanda. Return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 13: Golden Monkey Tracking and Cultural Experience

Begin the day with golden monkey tracking in the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park. Later, enjoy a cultural village visit, gaining insight into Rwandan traditions and daily life.

Day 14: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast, we drive south through Rwanda’s stunning landscapes to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. Check into your lodge and relax.

Day 15: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk in Nyungwe

Enjoy an early morning chimpanzee tracking experience in Nyungwe Forest. In the afternoon, experience the famous canopy walkway, offering breathtaking views above the forest and a chance to spot birds and primates from above.

Day 16: Transfer to Kigali and Departure

After breakfast, drive to Kigali, with time for a brief city tour depending on your flight schedule. You will then be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your East Africa primate safari adventure.
