Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, relax and enjoy a safari briefing.
Day 2: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, spotting lions, elephants, cheetahs, and giraffes. Check into your lodge or safari camp.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara
Spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives, following predator movements and observing abundant wildlife. Optional activities include sunrise balloon rides or Maasai village visits.
Day 4: Another Full Day in Maasai Mara
Enjoy a second day in the Mara for deeper exploration and extended wildlife viewing. This day allows flexibility to follow wildlife movements and maximize sightings of predators and plains game.
Day 5: Flight or Drive to Entebbe, Uganda
After breakfast, take a flight or drive to Entebbe, Uganda. Our guide will transfer you to your hotel near Lake Victoria for relaxation and a safari briefing.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park, home to Uganda’s largest chimpanzee population. The scenic route passes through tea plantations and rural villages. Check into your lodge and relax.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest & Transfer to Bwindi
In the morning, enjoy chimpanzee tracking with expert guides. After observing the chimps, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check into your lodge and rest.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, embark on mountain gorilla trekking. Spend one hour observing a gorilla family in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge to relax and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe / Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your 9-day Kenya & Uganda Ultimate Safari.
