Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Relax and enjoy a safari briefing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most iconic park. Along the way, enjoy scenic northern Uganda landscapes. Check into your lodge or camp and prepare for your first wildlife encounters.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile River Boat Cruise

Begin with a morning game drive, spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, observing hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Start with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls, then fly or drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, known for its remote wilderness and rich Big Five populations. Check into your lodge and relax for the evening.

Day 5: Full Day Game Drives in Kidepo Valley

Spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives, tracking lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, and plains game. Kidepo offers unspoiled landscapes and exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

Day 6: Optional Village Visits or Additional Game Drives

Enjoy an optional cultural visit to local Karamojong villages, or take additional game drives to explore lesser-known areas of the park. Return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive in Kidepo Valley

Start the day with an early morning game drive, enjoying the park’s pristine wilderness and final Big Five sightings. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe / Departure

After breakfast, fly or drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your 8-day Uganda Big Five Encounters Safari from Murchison to Kidepo.
