Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Relax and enjoy a briefing about the safari ahead.
Day 2: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffalo. Check into your lodge or camp for overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drives in Amboseli
Spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives, capturing spectacular wildlife sightings and photographing the majestic Kilimanjaro backdrop. Optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about local culture and traditions.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island Game Walk
Drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by scenic highlands. Enjoy a boat ride to observe hippos and birds and an optional game walk on Crescent Island, where zebras, giraffes, and antelopes roam freely. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s premier wildlife destination. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting lions, cheetahs, elephants, and buffalo. Check into your lodge or luxury camp.
Day 6: Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara
Spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives to maximize Big Five sightings and explore the reserve’s vast savannah. Optional activities include a sunrise hot air balloon safari or a visit to a local Maasai village.
Day 7: Another Day in Masai Mara
Enjoy an additional day of exploration and extended game drives to increase your chances of spotting leopards and rhinos. Relax in your lodge or camp between drives.
Day 8: Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi / Departure
Start the day with an early morning game drive, followed by a scenic drive back to Nairobi. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your 8-day Kenya Big Five Wildlife Encounters Safari.
